#4

This month we put our Internal Sales Manager, Cherelle Harris Under the Spotlight…

Q1. What is your current role at Dufaylite, and how long have you worked here?
Internal Sales Manager and I have been here three years.
Q2. What was your first job?
It was as a Trainee Accountant.
Q3. What advice would you give to someone starting out in your industry?
To think outside the box – always try to think differently.
Q4. What challenges do you foresee for the industry in the coming year?
In the construction sector I think there is still a lack of education around alternative products and the benefits they can bring. This is a challenge but also an opportunity for our Clayboard product.
In the print and packaging markets there is just so much competition but we have a few new developments which will help to further differentiate us later in the year…
Q5. Who in your career has inspired you?
It is hard for me to choose just one person as I have met some great individuals throughout my career and have taken positives from each one of my roles.
Q6. If you were not in your current role what would you like to be doing?
I would love to run my own pub.
Q7. What are your hobbies/interests away from the office?
I love being outdoors and spending time with my family – ideally combining the two!
Q8. If you could have dinner with any three people from any time, fictional or non-fictional, who would they be and why?
Batman – he is my favourite super hero and I have always loved him.
Michael Buffer – because his voice gives me goosebumps – “Let’s get ready to rumble….!”
Gerard Butler – OBecause he is very easy on the eye.
Q9. Which country would you most like to visit and why?
I would absolutely love to visit Thailand and to spend some time at an Elephant sanctuary.
Q10. What is your favorite book?
I absolutely loved the Twilight series.
Q11. What is your proudest moment?
Watching my daughter Gracie in the school nativity play as Mary and hearing her sing on her own.
Q12. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
My fiancé once told me to ‘Know and remember your worth’.
